Serbia took the lead in the 6th minute with a goal from Allegra Poljak. Iceland had good opportunities to equalize, with attempts from Karólína Lea Vilhjálmsdóttir, who sent the ball over the goal, and Sveindís Jane Jónsdóttir, whose shot went wide. Neither team managed to create a more dangerous chance until the end of the first half.

Iceland started the second half better, but they didn't create any significant opportunities. In the 75th minute, Iceland leveled the score with a well-executed attack that was finished by Jónsdóttir. Despite the equalizer, Iceland sought the winning goal, which they found in the 86th minute through Bryndís Arna Níelsdóttir.

With this victory and a 3-2 aggregate score, Iceland secured a place in Group A.
